What it does
Fix scans and phone-made PDFs that open sideways or upside down. Rotate a single page, a few selected pages or the whole document, see the result in the page previews, and save a new PDF. Unlike rotating the view in a PDF reader, the change is saved in the file, so it opens the right way for everyone you send it to. The rotation is stored as a page setting, so text and image quality don’t change.
How to use it
- Click “Choose a PDF file”, drop a PDF onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
- Click the rotate button on any page that’s sideways or upside down. Each click turns it 90° to the right.
- To turn several pages at once, select them and use the rotate buttons in the toolbar; with nothing selected, those buttons turn every page.
- Click “Save PDF” and download the new file. Your original isn’t changed.
Common uses
- Fixing a scanned document where some pages were fed in upside down
- Turning landscape tables or charts so they read correctly on screen
- Straightening a PDF made from phone photos taken in different orientations
Tips
- Check every page in the previews before saving. Mixed scans often have only a few pages the wrong way.
- Rotating 180° fixes upside-down pages; 90° fixes sideways ones.
- Rotating doesn’t straighten a page that was scanned slightly crooked; only quarter turns are possible.
