What it does
Make photos smaller for email, websites, and uploads while keeping them sharp.
How to use it
- Click “Choose images”, drop your JPG, PNG or WebP files onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
- Each image is compressed in your browser. The new size and how much you saved appear next to it.
- Download the images one by one, or all at once as a ZIP.
Common uses
- Email attachments that bounce because they’re too large
- Faster-loading images on a website or blog
- Sharing many photos at once without hitting upload limits
Tips
- For photos, JPG compresses far better than PNG. If you don’t need transparency, convert PNG photos to JPG first.
- Compress the final version of an image: editing and re-saving a compressed JPG adds visible artifacts.
- Need to hit an exact limit, such as 100 KB? Use the matching “Compress image to X KB” tool.
