What it does
Pick the country, crop your photo to the exact shape, and download a digital photo at the right pixel size plus a 4×6 inch sheet you can print at any photo shop. Your photo is processed on your device and never uploaded.
How to use it
- Pick your country and document from the list. The required size and head height appear under it.
- Choose a front-facing photo taken against a plain, light wall.
- Move and resize the box so your face is centered, with your shoulders at the bottom.
- Click “Create photo”, then download the digital photo, the 4 × 6 inch print sheet, or both.
Common uses
- Passport renewals and first-time applications
- Visa applications that ask for a digital photo upload
- ID cards, residence permits and exam registrations that require a set photo size
Tips
- Face a window for soft, even light, and stand a little away from the wall to avoid shadows.
- Keep a neutral expression with your mouth closed and both eyes open, looking straight at the camera.
- Ask someone else to take the photo from a metre or two away; close-up selfies distort faces.
