Merge PDF files

Join several PDFs into a single document, right in your browser.

or drop them here · paste with Ctrl+V

What it does

Join two or more PDFs into one document. Add the files, drag them into the order you want, and download the merged PDF. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable. Nothing is uploaded: the files are combined on your own device, which matters when they’re contracts, bank statements or ID scans.

How to use it

  1. Click “Choose PDF files”, drop two or more PDFs onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
  2. Each file appears with its page count. Drag the files into the order you want, or use the up and down buttons.
  3. Click “Merge PDFs” and download the combined file.

Common uses

  • Sending a cover letter, CV and certificates as one file for a job application
  • Combining monthly bank statements or payslips for a visa, rental or loan application
  • Joining chapters or sections of a report that were exported separately

Tips

  • Check the page count next to each file before merging. If it’s lower than you expect, the file may be incomplete.
  • The merged PDF is about as large as all the files together. Email services usually cap attachments at 20–25 MB.
  • Fill in and save any PDF forms before merging them, so your answers are part of the page.

Questions

Is there a limit on the number of files?

There’s no fixed limit on the number of files. Each one can be up to 100 MB, and the real limit is your device’s memory, so very large merges work best on a computer.

Will text and links still work?

Yes. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and searchable, and web links on the pages keep working. Bookmarks (the outline in your PDF viewer’s sidebar) aren’t carried over, and fillable form fields may stop being editable.

Why can’t I add a password-protected PDF?

Protected PDFs are encrypted, and their pages can’t be copied without the password. Open the file in your PDF app, print it to a new PDF (or save a copy without protection), and add that copy instead.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDFs are combined by your browser on your device, and nothing is sent to a server. Closing the page clears them from memory.
