What it does
Save PDF pages as PNG images with no compression artifacts. PNG keeps text, diagrams, charts and screenshots perfectly sharp, which JPG can blur slightly around edges, so it’s the better choice for documentation, slides and anything you’ll edit further. Pick the resolution and the pages, then download the images. Everything is rendered on your device; the PDF isn’t uploaded.
How to use it
- Click “Choose a PDF file”, drop a PDF onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
- Pick a resolution: 150 DPI suits most uses, 300 DPI is for printing or zooming into small text.
- Keep “All pages”, or choose “Choose pages” and type page numbers or tap the pages you want.
- Click “Convert”, then download each PNG or all of them as a ZIP.
Common uses
- Adding a diagram or table from a PDF to documentation, a wiki or a README
- Taking a page into an image editor to annotate or crop it without quality loss
- Exporting slides from a PDF presentation for a video or a blog post
Tips
- PNG files are larger than JPG, often several times for photo-heavy pages. Use PDF to JPG for scans and photos.
- For slides and diagrams, 150 DPI is usually plenty; text stays crisp because PNG is lossless.
- Need just part of a page? Convert it, then cut out the area with the Crop tool.
