What it does
A US passport photo is a 2 × 2 inch square with your head between 1 and 1 3/8 inches from chin to top of head, on a plain white or off-white background. Crop your photo to that shape here and download a 600 × 600 pixel digital photo, plus a 4 × 6 inch sheet with six copies to print.
How to use it
- United States – Passport is already selected. You can switch to another country or document from the list.
- Choose a front-facing photo taken against a plain, light wall.
- Move and resize the box so your face is centered, with your shoulders at the bottom.
- Click “Create photo”, then download the digital photo, the 4 × 6 inch print sheet, or both.
Common uses
- US passport renewals and first-time applications
- Printing passport photos at a pharmacy or photo kiosk from the 4 × 6 sheet
- Spare copies for passport card or replacement applications
Tips
- Take off your glasses: they aren’t allowed in US passport photos.
- Use a photo taken within the last six months.
