What it does
Fix photos that appear sideways or upside down, or flip a picture to mirror it. Rotate in 90° steps and flip horizontally or vertically, and every image you add gets the same change, so a whole batch from one shoot is fixed in one go. The rotation is drawn into the pixels rather than stored as a hidden tag, so the image shows the right way up in every app and on every website.
How to use it
- Click “Choose images”, drop one or more images onto the box, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac).
- Use “Rotate left” or “Rotate right” to turn them 90° at a time, and the flip buttons to mirror them. The previews update straight away.
- Every image gets the same rotation. Click “Reset” to start over.
- Download the images one by one, or all at once as a ZIP.
Common uses
- Fixing phone photos that show up sideways after being uploaded to a website
- Mirroring a selfie so text in the background reads the right way
- Turning scanned pages or photographed documents that were captured upside down
Tips
- If a photo looks right on your phone but sideways elsewhere, the phone is using a rotation tag that the other app ignores. Rotating it here fixes it for good.
- Selfie cameras save a mirrored picture on some phones; “Flip horizontally” turns writing back the right way.
- JPG files are saved again at high quality, so rotating many times in a row elsewhere can soften them. Do all your turns here in one go, then download once.
